Student Council
The Student Council has a highly active and functional role. Its purpose is to serve as a liaison between the student body and the administration. Additionally, the Council seeks to cultivate and strengthen school spirit and pride.
The PCIS Student Council gives students a chance to help make decisions about our school. In addition to being a wonderful learning experience, it demonstrates to the students that they have a voice in the school and that staff value their input. The biggest value of the Student Council, however, is to provide students with a model of the democratic decision-making process and leadership.
Our Student Council Executive Board is composed of a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Joining our Executive Board are the 12 Classroom representatives (one for each class from 1-12th Grade).
Student Council elections are held at the beginning of each year. Our chosen leaders are expected to act as role models in all aspects of school.
Student Council members are looked upon as the voice of the student body, capable of seeing many changes and projects come into action. The PCIS School Student Council is the main student-led organization in PCIS.
