Library
A love of books and reading lies at the very heart of academic success, and it is this love that the Puntacana International School Library seeks to promote. The library is stocked with a wealth of books catering for all our students from TI to 12th Grade, and a wide range of teaching resources.
The Library is open from 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and can be found in the Pre-school area. Students may visit during recess to read, borrow books or to study. Parents are invited to visit the library when collecting their children from school to choose books to read together at home. A student may borrow 2 books for 2 weeks at a time. If the book is required for additional time, an extension can be requested from the librarian. The librarian is on hand to offer assistance during opening hours.
We conduct a program of library activities throughout the school year; for example, library orientation workshops are delivered to enable students to develop information literacy skills, and themes are promoted to encourage further reading and interest in various topics.
The library stocks materials that support the bilingual educational program at the school and our collection supports the school’s Philosophy, Vision and Mission 'Guiding Statements'
